Ormie the Pig — Helpful or Unhelpful?

Ormie the Pig — Helpful or Unhelpful?

Meet Ormie the Pig, a determined character with one clear goal: get the cookie on top of the fridge. In this short, animated video, you’ll see Ormie try every possible behaviour to satisfy his craving.

But as you watch, notice something interesting: most of his attempts are unhelpful. Some are risky, some cause damage and/or mess to be cleaned up, and many leave him frustrated and no closer to success.

It’s funny and exaggerated, yes but how different is this from real life?  Like Ormie, we all engage in behaviours to meet our needs, whether it’s for comfort, connection, achievement, or simply satisfaction.

But not all behaviours are effective. Some of our choices actually take us further from our wants.

So as you watch, ask yourself:

🌀 What need is Ormie trying to meet?
🌀 Which of his behaviours were helpful? Which weren’t?
🌀 Have I ever acted like Ormie? Using unhelpful behaviours again and again, without stopping to reflect?
